Star Bright Star Light by Hou de Sousa reinterprets Wish Trees
Star Bright Star Light by creative studio Hou de Sousa is an interactive public pavilion in New York City inspired by the cross-cultural tradition of Wish Trees. The installation invites visitors to tie ribbons representing their hopes and desires, with each added ribbon causing the pavilion’s fluffy, fluorescent winter coat to grow outward like a neon Chia Pet. This vibrant display showcases thousands of individual aspirations, collectively highlighting the universal hopes that connect us all.
